Xavier grew up in the deep south where chain-link fences guarded you from the dog snapping at your feet. He'd disappear into the evergreen forests of Mississippi until sunset. He'd emerge for Cowboy Bebop, Final Fantasy 7, and Event Horizon-wondering if these tales could co-exist. Now, he creates adventure, legend, and myth--the type of worlds his younger self dreamed about in the rural heat.
Horror Noire expounds on the untold history of Black Americans in the genre. The documentary holds a "100% Fresh" on Rotten Tomatoes. It was featured in USA Today's & Entertainment Weekly's "Best Horror Movies of 2019." The film won a Trailblazer Award from Fear-NYC Horror Festival. He earned a Daytime Emmy Nomination for his work on Giants. The show premiered on Issa Rae's Color Creative before its acquisition by Paramount. The opportunity arose from Olde E, his USC thesis project which earned Student Academy Award recognition. His work includes collaborations with D.C. Comics, Lenovo, LOL Network, Stage 3 Productions, and D.C. Comics.
